STORM's leading models will appear in a new photography exhibition, opening on Thursday April 18 until Thursday May 2 at fashion label Joseph's Westbourne Grove store. Taken By Storm will feature the leading agency's star talents, from Kate Moss and Cindy Crawford to Cara Delevingne and Jourdan Dunn.
"The exhibition encapsulates the huge diversity of the incredible talent we work with," said Storm founder Sarah Doukas. "I've always been drawn to people who have something to say, who are creative or have something different which makes them special."
The exhibition, created in association with bi-annual fashion and art magazine Centrefold and Manhattan Loft Corporation's Harry Handelsman, celebrates the agency's 25th birthday. The showcase will feature photographs by Centrefold founder Andrew G Hobbs, Matt Irwin and Venetia Scott.
"We have worked with Andrew G Hobbs a lot in the past, he's a visionary," Doukas told us. "He offered us the opportunity of a collaboration and we worked on the concepts for each shoot with great people, models, photographers, stylists, hair and make-up and a great art director. The exhibition actually features new images of talent from our Storm Artists division. We wanted to mark the occasion in a significant way that paid tribute to the brilliant people we work with."
Doukas has plans to take her impressive list of clients in a host of directions in the future, with a renewed focus on television, film and digital media. She credits Storm's success to a mixture of her personal enthusiasm and her strong team - "they're a seriously good bunch of people".
"I personally wake up every morning and can't wait to get to work," said Doukas. "We also set up the talent division Storm Artists Management years ago to run concurrently with the modelling side of the agency, and agents from both divisions work together to offer representation to both the models and the artists we manage. Everyone has a different skill set, opinion and contacts and I encourage my staff to explore creative ideas."
